Florida is a dynamic and innovative centre, which promotes the development of entrepreneurial attitudes to facilitate integration into the professional world. It provides training at different levels: Higher Education, continuous, in-company training and training for unemployed people. Florida has experience in the use of technology to enhance learning, coupled with extensive pedagogical expertise and e-learning know-how, and a tradition of innovation in education. It has been involved in the development of e-learning since 1996. It works in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Education in different educational contexts and in the development of educational materials. Since its foundation Florida has been involved in a wide range of activities involving cooperation at local level, with local administrations, local development agencies, local associations of SMEs and cooperatives. Florida has the ISO 9000 certification for its occupational and professional training services.


Prof. Dr. Mercedes Aznar Since 1995 she has worked as an English Lecturer at Florida Universitaria in the Bachelors of Business Administration and Technical Engineering (Mechanical & Electrical). She has participated in several projects both at a national and international level dealing with entrepreneurship and pedagogy (methodology and motivation) and is also developing work in different European networks, mainly in the area of Higher Education. Besides, she has coordinated internships under the Leonardo/Erasmus programmes and has been the liaison officer for Erasmus students doing their trainee period in Spain under Florida Universitaria agreements. Nowadays, she is also working on intercultural communication teaching practices.

Laura Uixera She works as a project administrative at Florida International Relations Department. She has been involved in the design and development of international projects since 2005, within several fields such as: ICT, education and training, tourism, transfer of innovation, and diversity. She has a Diploma in Computer Science, and a Pedagogical Qualification Certificate by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She has also collaborated as co-writer of various project handbooks.
