ICC - the international language association

The ICC - the international language association - is an international association with local impact representing the field of language learning and teaching. ICC is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) with participatory status at the Council of Europe. The ICC, known as The European Language Network is a not-for-profit-association bringing together people actively involved in foreign language teaching and providing them with a forum for exchange. At the moment, 35 educational organisations in 15 countries are members of the ICC. The ICC sets standards for a transnational network of language teachers, promotes quality in foreign language learning and teaching by certifying progress and achievement in language acquisition, certifying teachers’ competence to teach, offering guidelines for the evaluation of teaching institutions, and providing criteria for the evaluation of teaching materials and courses.
